SUMMARY: Performs various classroom functions to assist students in the presentation of online instruction used at the school location to enhance student’s learning experience. Serves as an informational resource to students, staff and parents regarding students’ classroom performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Classroom management – attendance, seating charts, discipline, etc.
- Guide instruction for students in the ASU Digital Learning/Elevate K-12 setting.
- Supervises students inside and outside of the classroom for appropriate behavior.
- Responsible for the security, upkeep, and inputting grades in the gradebook (Synergy).
- Provides support and guidance to students.
- Investigates problems that occur with school hardware equipment and software; resolves any problems as able and notifies Information Services for additional services when needed
- Communicates information to students, parents, school administration and staff
- Follows norms and expectations for a classroom teacher: attends PLC’s, PD’s, special school events and covers supervision as assigned by administration.

- Ability to operate computer related hardware and software programs
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to do detailed mathematical computations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies
- Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year previous work with children experience preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements
- Criminal justice/Fingerprint clearance
Computer Proficiency: Demonstrated general proficiency in computer programs such as Google, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.
